Ice Cream, Open Studios, and an Experiment

535 Weekly #1

Hey y’all, here’s been going on at Studio 535 this past week:

• Last Fri we had JML come in for an Off The Record session. Was incredibly cool to see the someone that’s already minted and so accomplished (former CTO of Shopify, VP at Atlassian, etc) still get deep into their craft. JML showed us a live demo of his new app, Sea People, for people that boaters.

• Rex from Rex’s Ice Cream came by with some dope flavors and set up a little retail popup experiment

• We ran a deep work session open to community members called Open Studio

• We had some guests stop by that were in Toronto from out of town. We sent a few 535 stickers back to our homies in Vancouver

• Two of our studio members are graduating into running their startups full-time with funding. More on that later…

Fri Jun 28 we’re hosting an Off The Record session with Robleh Jama. This one will be a little different. Here’s the structure we’re thinking:

• Interview with Robleh on his recent projects

• Fahd & Robleh chat about running the studio for the last 3 months

• Community highlights, open feedback for the studio, new experiment ideas

• AMA
